The Killers, hikes, break, 2009!!

I trust you have heard the song Human by the Killers, and so you've probably wondered yourself or know someone who's wondered this question: Do they mean denser or dancer in the chorus? Personally I think its denser, because are we human, or are we dancer doesn't work!! So what do you think?? And why doesn't the composer of the song or any of the Killers come and clean this mess up?!
Anyway, onto other topics. How was every one's Christmas, or whatever holiday you celebrate along with the amazing new year?? Mine was GREAT!! full of random hiking exertions and fun workout sports. Not to mention the Rose Parade!!!
The hike was short, to say the least. But there were quite interesting monuments, including a log that was given rocks to look like a wolf. It was really quite convincing in real life, if you don't see it. We also found some strange rusting materials that agree not meant for a nature hike.. After agreeing that the waterfall was indeed a disappointment, we decided to scale large boulders to the top of the waterfall where Lauren innocently exclaimed that she had seen "a guy" do it easily and it was harmless. I'm glad no one got hurt. It turns out that this guy that she had seen was a really good hiker, that was getting to a harder trail, that Lauren decided not to do after we got up there. I am glad to say (or am I?) that I've been through much worse that that. So after we scaled the rock and got up the top for nothing, we both agreed to not go that way down, to avoid broken bones. So we followed a supposed path, that abruptly ended near this gnarly looking tree, and we decided to go down. I was too steep for Lauren at parts so she sat down and got a black butt. It was interesting, but there were no spectacular views during the hike, but we certainly found a great view of Pasadena, the ocean, and LA. All in all, Lauren bonded, if not with me, than with a particularly smooth rock.

All in all, it was a good trip, but was WAY to short (being 1 mile), and as soon as I got home, I was whisked away by my dad, Christopher, Megan, and Allie for some truly sweat worthy basketball, Frisbee, and soccer. We all had fun frolicking about and trying to make penalties on each other by kicking the ball very, very hard. I was on the wrong end at the wrong time when my dad shot, and his kick knocked the wind out of me, and left my stomach very red where the ball had smashed jarringly into my stomach.

Today, with a large Palmer family in tow, we paraded into my dad's office for some hard core parading in the fashion of the Rose Parade. With my nifty camera I was able to capture most of the action, apart from Penn State (MALFUNCTION!! sorry!!), and here are some good highlights
And I am going to be mean to USC fans, and nice to Penn state fans by not publishing my USC pics and videos because I didn't get any for Penn State. But I must say, both schools put on quite a show. So instead I will show you one of my favorite floats that sang Who Let the Dogs out!?
This has been quite an interesting week and if you want a different accounting of the events that I have recorded today, then go to my sister's blog, because she has a different point of veiw, at least for the hike.
now on to the random but hilarous portion of the journey before we part until eather I write, or you read my blog. My beloved mother that deals with her children and ends up teasing them daily, or sings shoulda put a ring on it! in a strange fashion while sticking out her hand as if to show us her ring. As she sings these lines wrong, we cannot help but rolling our eyes while diverting them, and Lauren usually lets out a very girlish giggle while we try to explain to her that those are not the lines, you have never heard the song before so just stop singing that line, and you don't know what it means. Lauren will then occasionally spill out a remark like "the song's album name is 'for single women'". In those silences in between my mom singing off key and us trying to think of something that my mom won't find a reason to sing that line again (because she usually sings that fifty times a day), it is immpossible not to hear a very load hiccupe. The same goes for any silence, while puncuating a point, or akward silences. The reason, according to my mom, is that she gave birth to 'two toads'. Referencing to that fact that two of my sisters, Allie and Samantha have uncontrollable hiccupes that they have absolutely no control over and at random times in around twenty minute intervales hiccupe very loudly for all to hear. I usually am able to skip all these things that I have just discribed by spacing out and going my parallel dimensions in gratitude as I relive my fanatasies by using by trusty ipod, a good book, or just zone. I havn't been able to do it quite well as I was able to do when I had my concussion. I zone out and die for long stretches of time without realizing it, not that I wouldn't remember anyway. The only bad thing was that I couldn't control it at all.
Now I must leave you to ponder te things that I have shown or in other words reveilved unto you.

ho ho ha!!

Sorry I haven't written in FOREVER!!! Just nothing interesting has been happening that's really "blog note worthy" as Lauren (not my sister, and not the Californian, but the Bostonian) would put it as. And then after that the rush of Christmas fever was born, and I just haven't had time. The only BIG big peace of news is that Allie is coming home on Friday! Its very exciting and I look forward to seeing her and someone else (its a secret, cause there is a certain family to surprise.. :D). My mom is making a fuss about it almost as much as she did when Christopher came home from his mission. It is quite an experience.
I hope everyone is rounding up the family and getting up the Christmas tree (or Hanuka candles, or both {as in Jessamyn's case}). If you could never believe it could actually snow in California, where people actually live, you have been proven wrong. There is weather proof and picture proof if you don't believe me. I have a very new, interesting and defiantly not traditional look on things for Christmas. For you see, I intend to fully call out my "sophisticated" over-active imagination and also to get back at my siblings in riddles and to try to open their eyes with stories. It will be quite a fun experience.
Have you all seen Twilight? I hope you have because if you haven't, you need to get with the program! Especially if you haven't even read the book! It is an excellent book AND movie FYI!

PS
I am getting that Camel picture up with the help of Allie next time I write a post (which I promise to be soon)

life goes on

For starters, I feel I must adress the ingurys that has occured since my last post. I will start with what I feel is the most important: I got a concussion about 2 weeks ago. That is the reason why I havn't posted another post recently. That is the only injury in my immediate family that I am aware of (which means I don't know about Christopher, Megan, or Allie).
The extent of this injusry was temperarly short term memory loss (not an experience that I'm willing to go through again), and spacing out at any random moment. The cause was that I was playing 1 on 1 soccer drill at soccer practice and somhow fell or collided or something. The details are hazy.
It has finally rained down upon the dert called California, and is starting to mildly cool off from the blazing spring, SUMMER, and fall. Life continues fairly normally with all its twists and turns with unexpected outcomes. One up I am willing to boast about is that my soccer team (the Pepto Bizmo's {not to be confused with the pills}) are tied in first place along with the very physical Sprits.
This is the extent of my post!

Updates

So, a few new things have happened since my late post. First and foremost, My dad FINALLY got a new hardrive for the computer, and until after I signed in, did I realize that everything was lost and that I would have redo a ton of stuff. Oh well. The good news is that Allie is still alive and living in a very tan body. She was in Egypt but now is back in Jerusalem. At the end of this blog is a picture of her mastering a stinking camel in a head rap and the whole enchilada. The California fires continue to get closer to my house, just yesterday it was 5 miles away. Oh ya, and the totally amazing Red Sox LOST!! shocking. Oh well, life goes on I suppose, and there's always soccer. That is the extent of this post. So I shall see-or-write-2-u later!!

In honor of......

This is for Coldplay and for the Red Sox. You might ask, why? Well I'll tell you. It is for Coldplay simply because they ROCK and I love them. And for the Boston Red Sox because they are simply the BEST baseball team IN ALL DIVISIONS, SERIES, ETC.
The Red Sox just almost-but-not-quite swept the series, but still won the series 3-1!! Yay!! Thursday I also go to Universal Studios with me cousins *Valerie* and Whitney. (If you don't what Universal Studios is, look it up 'cause i don't know what to tell you). So Allie's adventures continue as she moves onto Egypt in her life or death experiences. Hadley is still alive for all those Boston friends out there. And for the soccer friends out there, I still like lettuce, I'm not a meat eater! (only they would get it, so don't bother me about it). And as for everyone else.....well you guys see me often enough, so you don't need "special" information. I don't think I've missed anything this time. So bi for now!!

Vacations

OH MY GOSH!! I totally forgot about the whole what happened this summer sort of thing!!!! ..sorry. OK, so in August I went to girls camp and unfortunately KILLED my arm :( then I went to Idaho for my grandparents 50th wedding anniversary and stayed at an awesome ranch. (no, not the dressing!) Then, I went directly to Boston, which was by far my highlight of my AMAZING summer. It was truly amazing. The trip back to Boston is so amazing that it takes up a blog of its own!! And so, if i get requests to write about it, I will, but most of the people who read my blogs live in Boston so they were there, but i don't know. When I unluckily did come home, I unpacked, packed, went to a sleepover party and left around 5a.m. for San Diego. When I came back it was time for school again! Maybe you don't think so, but I think that summer passed by way too quickly! Well, that's all for now!!

Split

Well, the time is LONG past due in which i should write a new "passage". Typing on my sister Lauren's laptop is a quite enjoyable experience. Now, this is not a random comment because Lauren was the person to encourage me to write another blog. Even if she hasn't realized it. Well, i guess Allie (also my sister) also nudged me toward this path with her quiet unhappiness that everyone was included but her. So, Allie, this is mostly for you. So I will start by saying that Allie is currently in war zone. That's right, war zone. She is in Jerusalem and is/are going to be frolicking around the Middle East while Iran wants to wipe Jerusalem off the face on the Earth, Israel and Pakistan aren't necessarily bff's, the crisis with oil, the fact that most Iraqi es and terrorists would love nothing more than to torture and kill helpless Americans (sorry not saying your helpless Allie). And don't let me get started with Afghanistan!! This is all happening under "peaceful" circumstances. So, I said this literally and just 'cause I always say it, "don't die Allie." Now, as long as no one mentions this to my mother, I think we can survive. For my mother likes to talk about Allie to anyone... but as soon as they mention the crisis' happening like the ants sprouting in our house, she goes insane. In the debate that we saw you could just feel her withering in pain as she tried to contain herself as they were talking about the Middle East (as they were most of the time.) LOVE YOU ALLIE!!!!!!!!!!! :D
Now, back to America. Another year, another school year and I still don't find myself 'falling in love' with California as my mom put it in my yelling stage when I had first figured out that I was moving to California. It finally rained today and on the way to school my mom and I were bouncing and glowing we were so happy!!! I immediately texted my Boston friends and got some funny and unusual answers.
On to the sports...So, Red Sox are playing the Angels in their first round in the playoffs.. shaky. The Patriots are doing surprisingly well considering the fact that the worlds best quarterback is injured! At least BYU is doing AMAZING! In both football and women's soccer!
guy that goes to the On to the dating life: Samantha is currently available, after breaking up with Evan in what seems to be a month ago, but probably much sooner than that. In my knowledge no one else in our family is dating anyone. Who really knows though, Allie could be dating either some hot guy from wherever she is right now in her journeys. Or she could be dating a totally awesome Jerusalem center with her. Orr Lauren could be dating someone and just not been telling us about is (ooo! so secretive). Believe what you like, I'm just putting out the possibilities.
Now for the random!! Ok, so this is the first time in about 6 years that no one has been at BYU!! How weird is that? Especially since there was 4 last year (including Megan). Manny is a dumb dummy! And the Dodger's can't decide whether or not to keep him!! Ha ha he will regret the day he dissed Boston!!

Well, its been incredibly long, (as usual)
but I hope this will come to everyone's satisfaction
for now, only and truly

drama.

Oh the drama of teenage life! Welcome Welcome everyone to my blog!! I am very excited to go back out to Boston as everyone who lives in the east already knows. A short recap on family dramas for all you who have missed out on it: My dog Hadley got attacks by a coyote (and survived), she also had a couple of surgeries that have followed this incident, and she got MASSIVE bladder stones taken out. My mother proclaimed that she had never seen such massive bladder stones come out of such a small dog in her whole life. Then, of course she told everyone that she knew about the whole enchilada...in full detail. My brother Christopher and my sister Lauren have both graduated from Brigham Young University and are taking very different paths: Christopher is married and has completed a double major in economics and math at the top of the school, therefor receiving a scholarship. He is going to MIT (Massachuttes Institue of Technology) with a PHD in economics (following precisly in his fathers footsteps). While my sister Lauren on the other hand isnt married, and her major was French, and her minor was African studies. She is staying home and has a part time (soon to be full time) job teaching autistic children {which she enjoys ver much}. Samantha was caught dating at 15-and-a-half (oooo!!)..but no real punishment and Evan and Samantha are getting a little bit serious. (Considering the fact that he stood in front of our Claflin St. house back in Belmont.) And the last drama was that my mother got parathiroid surgery (we have 4 of them and they're in your neck...you only need half of one though). But she and Hadley have both made a great recovery. Oh ya!! almost forgot, so my parents and Samantha were in Italy for her sophmore trip when Hadley got attacked, and a couple days after she got attacked my dad got seriously dehydrated. So it was a sad 2 days on both sides of the world. Thats the major dramas that have happened in California!!!!!
